About Canody

Canody canola oil has the lowest levels of saturated fat of any vegetable oil, and is completely free of trans fats and cholesterol. Saturated fats raise the “bad” (LDL) cholesterol in your body, linking them to heart disease.

A Canadian Success Story

In the 1960s, Richard K. Downey, a plant breeder and a scientist of the Canadian Government, discovered how to convert what was known as “rapeseed” into a nutritious and delicious crop by breeding out any of its negative traits.

Process

The name “Canola” is trademarked, ensuring that only products containing no more than 30 micromoles of glucosinolates (considered harmful for livestock which consume the crushed by-product) and less than 2 percent.
